The Essex County Council (Footpath 37, Dedham Footcrossing, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 37, Dedham Footcrossing, Dedham, in the Borough of Colchester, from a point 20 metres either side of the crossing.

The closure is scheduled to commence at 00.01hrs Sat 25th August 2018 to 04.00hrs Tues 28th August 2018 and 22.00hrs Sat 15th September 2018 – 08.30hrs Sun 16th September 2018 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while essential maintenance works to the crossing is undertaken by Network Rail. No alternative route available.

The Order will come into effect on 25th August 2018 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
